The Design Process

From the First Conversation to the Finishing Details

Every successful kitchen and bathroom design remodel begins with a thoughtful plan. Our design process is tailored to your project, helping you make informed decisions and bringing all the details together before construction begins.

Initial Consultation

We begin with a brief phone conversation to learn a little about your project and answer any initial questions. From there, we can arrange a complimentary, no-obligation consultation in your home. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your goals, evaluate the space, explain our design process and fee structure, and talk about what you can expect as your project moves forward.

Design Concept

During this phase, we explore space planning options to improve functionality, circulation, and storage. We also begin selecting finishes and materials to establish the overall design direction for your project.

Design Development

Once the initial design concepts have been presented and you’ve selected your preferred direction, we begin refining the design and working through the details. This includes specifying cabinetry sizes, configurations, storage solutions, and functional features such as pullouts and specialty organizers. We also finalize the remaining selections, including cabinet hardware, lighting, countertops, tile, flooring, paint colors, furniture, and fabrics. Every element is carefully considered to ensure the finished space is both beautiful and functional.

Project Coordination

Our involvement during construction is tailored to your needs and the scope of your project. We can collaborate directly with your contractor, assist in selecting qualified professionals, or bring together our network of trusted tradespeople and contractors to manage the project from start to finish. Whether we’re providing design guidance or overseeing the entire process, our goal is to ensure the design is executed as intended, with careful attention to quality, details, and the finished result.
